Yes, your GP or another specialist will provide you with a referral to Dr Siva. If you do not have a referral, please contact Dr Siva’s rooms and we can provide you with a list of our referring women’s health GPs.

If you have any correspondence from other health professionals, scans, x-rays, blood test results or reports from recent investigations, please bring these as well.

No you don’t. Private health insurers do not provide cover for out-of-hospital medical services, including the expenses of initial out-of-hospital consultations with specialists in their rooms.
Depending on your level of private health insurance, your private health fund will usually cover some or all of the expenses associated with inpatient gynaecological surgery.

Dr Siva does not offer obstetric care, however he is very happy to refer any patients that require obstetric care to one of his trusted obstetric colleagues.

For all surgical procedures that require hospital admission, Dr Siva performs surgery at St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital, Cnr Roderick and Spring Streets, IPSWICH, Queensland.
Dr Siva’s surgical procedures are conducted on Friday mornings and some Friday afternoons with anaesthetic services provided by the NARKOS group.
Some minor gynaecological surgeries may be performed in Dr Siva’s consulting rooms, which are located at:

All necessary details for pre- and post-operative care will be explained to you when your surgery is booked in. We also provide information about most surgical procedures on the relevant page of this website. In addition, Dr Siva usually emails you with high quality surgery leaflets to your personal email.

We will always endeavour to see you as quickly as possible and we pride ourselves on offering shorter waiting times for appointments and surgery, with most patients seen within 1-2 weeks of their referral. All of our gynaecological surgeries are done in a timely manner.
If something is very urgent, please let us know or ask your GP to contact us directly and we will arrange an emergency appointment for you.

For up-to-date information on the Gap fees on all minor and major gynaecology surgeries, please call our rooms on (07) 3816 9189 to speak to the reception. If you have private health insurance, your insurer may cover part or all of these Gap fees.
Most major and minor gynaecology surgeries would be billed as known Gap.
If you are referred as part of Surgery Connect or Episode of Care (EOC), Dr Siva will not charge you.
Dr Siva does not accept any workers compensation assessments.
